This past weekend, Elizabeth Herrmann architecture + design was pleased to have participated as an exhibitor in the second annual Green Energy Expo held in Middlebury, Vermont. The event, organized by Middlebury College, the Addison County Economic Development Corporation, Addison County Regional Planning Commission, Middlebury Area Global Warming Action Coalition, Addison County Chamber of Commerce, among other local businesses, focused on the theme of building sustainable homes and businesses.

When a growing family moved into their mid-19th century four-square house, they quickly discovered that the boxy plan and small, dark kitchen would not meet their needs. Elizabeth Herrmann architecture + design created a new kitchen and made other seemingly small changes that had a big and very positive impact on the way the family lives.

Elizabeth Herrmann architecture + design welcomes summer intern, Serin Buck. Serin is a Mt. Abraham High School student interested in pursuing a career in architecture or environmental design. She is particularly interested in sustainable building practices. During the summer, she'll be assisting with projects and helping to expand and update our green products library. We're glad to have her with us.
