EH Receives AIA VT Design Citation for microHOUSE

Elizabeth Herrmann architecture + design received a Citation for Excellence in Architecture for the microHOUSE she designed.  The award was given EH by the American Institute of Architects Vermont Chapter at its annual meeting and award ceremony December 10, 2015.

microHOUSE is a tiny, energy-efficient home designed for a visual artist.  At a mere 430 square feet, it has a spaciousness and unpredictability that transcends its size.  Corners subtracted from opposite ends shape both interior and exterior spaces, creating a logical and whimsical expression of the functions and contents of the house.  It is a delightful and refreshingly dynamic interpretation of the modern, tiny home.
